Nando's story with stone began at age 12 in Nazaré, Portugal, working during school holidays. By the time he served in the Portuguese military, stone work wasn't just a trade — it was his identity. Decades of hands-on expertise in fabrication and installation followed.
In 2012, Nando moved to Wales and joined Amaris. His reputation for exceptional precision, attention to detail, and unwavering pride in every finished project made him an obvious choice for Director. Today, Nando represents the highest standard of European stone craftsmanship applied to every Amaris project. Quality workmanship, beautiful execution, pride in the finished product — these are his non-negotiables.

Superb service from the moment we went to the showroom to the completion of the job. They worked well with our kitchen fitter and the finished product is excellent. The showroom had an amazing selection to choose from and the staff were incredibly helpful in guiding us through the options, even helping by suggesting different options to complement our kitchen cupboards, nothing was too much trouble. The template and installation team were fantastic, they were professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to utilise and maximise the amount of the quartz we purchased. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship is unmatchable and it's clear they have even attempted to continue the vein within a join where possible. Really pleased with my quartz worktops. The whole process was faultless from the initial showroom visit choosing my quartz nothing was too much trouble. The showroom is beautiful with so much on display. The template and fitting team had very good time keeping, they were polite and helpful. I will definitely recommend to my friends and family.
